Six shows, from Mumbai to Belgrade

September is the busiest month on the calendar this half, and one of the six opens today. Dates and venues below are from the organisers; each entry links through to registration.

Happening now

  • Bharat Recycling Show 2026 | August 31 to September 2 | Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. India's full-circle recycling show, spanning metals, e-scrap, batteries, end-of-life vehicles and tyres. Timely, given the EU decides on aluminium scrap export curbs this month. Details

Mid-month

  • Metal Expo 2026 | September 16 to 18 | Istanbul Expo Centre. Turkey's metal and steel show, useful for anyone sourcing from or selling into the Turkish long products market. Details

The Gulf anchor

  • Gulf Steel Expo | September 20 to 22 | Dhahran Expo Center, Dammam. The Middle East's full value-chain steel exhibition, originally set for April and postponed amid regional tensions. It covers raw material processors, producers, pipe and tube manufacturers, and technology providers, with regional steel consumption forecast to reach 57.9 million tonnes. Register

The European week

  • International Stainless & Special Steel Conference | September 22 to 24 | Frankfurt. The global stainless gathering, for anyone buying or selling into the specialty flat market. Details

  • Hydrogen Tech World Expo | September 23 to 24 | Messe Essen, Germany. Electrolysers and hydrogen technology, increasingly relevant to steelmakers running DRI pilots. Details

  • SteelOrbis Fall Conference & 95th IREPAS | September 27 to 29 | Belgrade. The supply and demand outlook meeting, and the one that matters if Q4 order-book planning depends on reading the global longs market. Program

Three of these fall within a single week, so travel that covers more than one needs to be decided now.
