November is the busiest month left in the year, and two of its fixtures only come round every two years. Dates and venues are from the organisers; each entry links through.
Europe, mid-month
European Steel Scrap and Circular Economy Forum | 11-12 November | Düsseldorf. Scrap flows, circularity and low-carbon feedstock, timely while the European Commission decides which countries may continue buying its scrap. Details
Kolkata
CII IMME 2026, the 18th International Mining and Machinery Exhibition | 18-21 November | Science City Exhibition Ground. India's only trade fair dedicated to mining, held every two years, with around 10,000 expected across mining machinery, mineral processing, automation and digital mining. Worth the trip for anyone whose input cost starts at the mine.
Mumbai, month end
METEC India 2026 | 30 November to 2 December | Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon. The metallurgical fixture, organised by Messe Düsseldorf India and held biennially, covering the chain from raw materials through iron and steel production to non-ferrous metals, metal forming, casting equipment, measurement technology and environmental systems. Around 10,500 visitors expected. Details
India Essen Welding and Cutting runs at the same venue on the same dates, so one trip covers both the metallurgy floor and the welding and cutting floor.
Two dates that are not events
21 November: the European Commission is due to publish its first list of approved non-OECD destinations for waste exports, which decides whether European scrap can ship to India directly.
1 December: ten aluminium quality control orders become enforceable for large and medium enterprises.
Both METEC India and IMME are biennial. If either belongs on your list, this is the year.
